Population
According to the 2010 Census, the Town of Colmar Manor's population is 1,404, up 10.5 per cent from the Census of 2000, which registered 1,257 people that year.
The data seems to be consistent with the 9.7% increase in U.S. population in general, from the Census of 2000. Maryland’s population grew 9% in the same period.
Race and Age
According to the 2010 Census, Colmar Manor’s racial composition is predominantly Hispanic now (45%). African-Americans constitute 33.7% of the population, followed by Whites (11.9%) and Asians (7.1%) respectively. Although Hispanics may be of any race, most of the Latinos in Colmar Manor are from Central America.
The 2010 Census indicates that Colmar Manor has an aging population, 72.8% of the residents were age 18 or older. Younger people represent 27.2 percent.
